Springer fork, OEM style reproduction. +8"
- Fork: Black - Front legs: Black - Rockers: Parkerized like OEM - Springs: Chrome - For 3/4" axle (19.05mm) - Rake: 3° positive offset - 1" diameter fork stem - Length: +8" (Standard length is approx. 19" (48cm) from bottom fork stem bearing to the center of the wheel axle) - EU made from drop forged steel - With stock style oval rear legs - NEVER ride a bike fitted with any Springer type fork without an adequate damping system! Note: 8; 12; 16 and 20" overstock springers come with a 3° positive offset and require the use of a special center part (981460 chrome or 981461 black) to mount risers for late style handlebars. Note: Positive offset forks (wheel further forward) give less trail than an inline fork. When using a custom frame; with a raked neck; trail is increased. Increased trail is fine; as long as it is in a straight line. The bike can become heavy to steer when riding slow; have a tendency to fall into the corner and have excessive 'wheel flop' when parked. To overcome these problems trail must be reduced; which is done with a positive trail fork. This is why only Over Stock length Springer forks are offered with a positive trail.
