This Carbonite clutch kit features an extra friction plate and steel drive plate, which increases the clutch area for greater holding. The friction plates are lined with 3M carbon based mate- rial, which is capable of widthstanding higher temperatures, offers a higher coefficient of friction than anything else available today. The steel drive plates are coated with melonite nitrite (as also used on valve stems, with excellent results.
