HD.M.G.I. came up with the cure for wet sumping in pre-2000 style engines. The steel ball doesn't always seal off the feed hole in the oil pump which causes the oil tank to drain in to the crankcase when the engine hasn't been running for a longer time. The cure is a special ball made out of FKM 70 +-5 Shore (Viton) material, which can withstand oil and temperatures from -25 to +230 degrees Celsius. The complete kit consists of the ball with a special spring and a special aluminum adapter that comes between the spring and the ball.
