Someone once said about titanium 'light as aluminum; strong as steel'; and it's not that far off. Perfect for many performance applications where 'heavy' is a no go but strength is essential. Especially right for applications where parts reciprocate; like valve train components or; in some cases; even conrods. This Trask Performance grade 5 titanium alloy wheel axle is 47% lighter (394 grams) than the original (757 grams).
