Fox Factory, fork cartridge 49mm 'Long Kit' . +2"
This 'Long Kit' will add 2" (51mm) to the ride height for better road holding and improved ground clearance in aggressive cornering. Additionally a longer than stock fork tube is required for installation of this extra long cartridge kit. The standard weight 'up to 240lbs (109kg)' springs in this kit make a good set-up for a bike that has an occasional passenger. This fork cartridge kit is compatible with OEM components to maintain the original look. Tuned for improved rider comfort and cornering control. Comes with speed-sensitive closed cartridge damping control and linear spring rates.The opposed-piston design creates a sealed system that prevents air from mixing with the oil (foaming; which affects damping since air is compressible); ensuring consistent damping control throughout your ride. The cartridge and spring kits feature linear rate springs that provide uniform support across the fork’s travel; preventing dive during braking and wallowing in corners. Additionally; the cartridge’s spring-loaded upper piston smoothly absorbs even the smallest bumps; unlike gas-charged designs that can cause internal friction and a harsh ride. These features combine to deliver a silky smooth ride; unphased by twisty corners.Note: the cartridge kit requires a longer fork tube for proper fitment.
