- Operation with the Dyna S ignition system requires the use of an aftermarket 5 ohm coil such as part # DC7-1 or a stock points coil from early Shovelheads. Not recommended for operation with OEM coils.Street applications require use of a 5-ohm coil.On '84-'99 fitment models listed, an advance weight mechanism is required. On '86-'03 XL and '80-'99 Big Twin models listed, mechanical advance unit is required.
