Rick's starter motor
This aftermarket starter motor will fit Yamaha 2004-08 YZF R1 and replace OE#: 4C8-81890-01-00; 4C8-81890-00-00; and 5vy-81890-00-00. The (+) positive post design for this starter may be different than the OEM starter depending on the year of your bike. Some starters use a 5 mm threaded flag style post and bolt; Rick's uses a 6 mm stud and nut which may make it necessary to open up the terminal at the end of the starter cable with a 1/4? drill.
