Transmission, 4-speed. For ratchet top
Without ratchet top and transmission end cover. Otherwise complete 4 speed gear box that is ready to run. 70-79 FL style; so with short 1st gear (stock 3.00:1.00 ratio). Uses the longest 70-85 (12.5") transmission mainshaft. Fitted with Torrington 1 piece needle bearing for main drive gear. Cluster gear is fitted with Torrington 1 piece bearings. Comes with 23 tooth speedo drive unit for a 1:1 speedo drive; 21 tooth 2nd gear; 24 tooth mainshaft 3rd gear. Note: Compatible with ratchet style top and electric start only. Note: Installing the ratchet top requires adjustment/alignment of shifter forks so installation by a professional / knowledgeable mechanic is advised for correct functioning of the gears.
